He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Shinevar and Agnes Shinevar (LaRush); his wife Arleen; his children, Joseph Shinevar and Diane Gallandt; his sons-in-law, Ben Luptowski and Gene Marron; and his siblings, Norman, Alfreida, Theresa, Evelyn, Gladys and Cecelia.

He is survived by: his daughters, Colleen Luptowski, Sandra Marron (Tom Berry) and Christine Shepard (Robert). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson, and several nieces and nephews.
