Dale left this world on February 2, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence [DeFouw] and Anna [DeFouw]; and his siblings, Marilyn June and David Hapner. He is survived by: his wife Bernadette; his children, Robert Dale Hapner and Jeanne Baker Coonrod (Ken); his grandchildren, Ryan Baker (Annie) and Jennifer Baker; his great grandchildren, Grace, Jacob, Luke, Nolan and Madisyn; his sister Bonnie Boylan (Al); and his sisters-in-law, Sue Hapner and Alicia Laansma. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Est Heritage Life Story Funeral Homes (2120 Lake Michigan Dr NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504). The military honors was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Heritage Life Story Funeral Homes – Alt & Shawmut Hills Chapel (2120 Lake Michigan Dr NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504).
