He was predeceased by: his father Arnold "Bunny" Abend. He is survived by: his mother Judith Abend (Higgs); his wife Lisa Fleck; his children, Joshua Emery (Kady), Jordan Kline (Kailyn), Aubrey Abend, Hunter Tolsdorf, Taylor Tolsdorf and Ashlyn Abend; and his sister Rebecca Abend (Dan LaClair).
