He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Mapes; and his brothers, Hector and Arnold McKinnon. He is survived by: his children, Margie Gohl (Alan), Denise McConnell (Glenn) and Rodney MacKinnon (Pamela); and his close friend Pat Lehman. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.
