He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Adams and Ilah Adams (Ives); his wife Kathryn Adams; his brother Bruce "Chip" Adams; and his nephews, Randy Mathias and Karl Schmidt Jr..

He is survived by: his son Robert Adams (Franny Franklin); his granddaughter Rebecca Adams; his siblings, Richard Adams (Sarah Hogan), Alta Leightner, Betty Drinkwater, Ginger Adams, Helen Schmidt (Karl) and Linda Cockroft (Richard); and his pet Kesler. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
