He was predeceased by: his parent Herman Schmidtman; and his siblings, Foster, Donald, Richard, Betty and Mina.
He is survived by: his parent Elizabeth Schmidtman (Foster); his spouse Evelyn; and his children, Cathy Brumm (Robert), Linda Schmidtman, Melissa Duer (Scott) of Marquette, Sandy Winters (Robert) of Willis, Texas and Robert Schmidtman (Nancy) of Sheboygan, Wisconsin. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
