He was predeceased by: his parents, Durwood Barnes and Rita Barnes (Shindler); and his brothers-in-law, Jim Klouw, Robert Goding, Robert Laufersky and John Laufersky.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Anne Laufersky; his children, Rhonda Barnes of Spring Lake and Christopher Worthington Barnes (Wendy Worthington) of Cedar Rapids, IA; his grandchildren, Kelsie and Mathew; his sisters, Judy Goding, Linda DeCamp (Jack) and Carol Klouw; and his sisters-in-law, Helen Laufersky and Phyllis Laufersky.
