He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred C. and Rosemary Fuqua, Jr. (Knoth); his brother Joseph; and his mother-in-law Iona Hengy. He is survived by: his wife Sandra "Sandy" Fuqua; his children, Michael Fuqua (Nikki), Lauren Paganin (Dan), Marlys Roberts (Jon) and Celeste Hibler (Dan); his grandchildren, Abby, Charlie, Liesl, Parker, Westley, Magdalene, Darwin, Piper and Ingrid; and his siblings, Gail DeRouin (Gary), Susan Fuqua and Mark Fuqua (Cheri). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials to the Charles A. Conklin American Legion Post # 28, Willow Domestic Violence Center or Spectrum Hospice are appreciated.
