With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jeanette Bulthuis of Spring Lake, Michigan, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on March 29, 2023 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard DeMaa and Jesse DeMaa (Buikema); her husband Abel "Abe" Bulthuis; her daughters, Kathleen Polanek and Karen J. Kurtz; her son-in-law Neal Polanek; her grandchildren, Tony Polanek and Jeanette Polanek (Jenny); and her siblings, William DeMaa, Martin DeMaa and Jennie Pruim.

She is survived by: her son Tim Bulthuis (Sarah) of Nunica; her grandchildren, Betsy Drake (Jordan), Cassidy Hazekamp (Stephen), Gabriel Kurtz and Tamara Lazak; her great grandchildren, Harper, Emerson Hazekamp and Norah Drake; and her sister Gertrude VanRyn. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
