She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Govert Grootenboer and Suzanna Grootenboer (VanderHeide); her husband John "Jan" Katerberg; her children, Susan Peters (Ed), Gerard Katerberg (Natalie) and Renee Stob (John); her grandchildren, Sara (Mark), Kristina (Ben), Daniel, Nick (Hannah), Marijke and Hannah; her great grandchildren, Ryan, Joel, Owen, Abby, Carter, Avery Lucas, Oliver and Zeke; her siblings-in-law, Hans Katerberg and Johanna Katerberg; and her brothers, John Grootenboer (Colleen), Piet Grootenboer and Marinus Grootenboer (Margaret).
