It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howard Dean Dirkse of Spring Lake, Michigan, who passed away on December 29, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John C. Dirkse and Bertha Dirkse (Honholt); his wife Carol Marks Dirkse; his children, Deb Patten (Greg) of Norton Shores and Mark Dirkse (Kathi) of Santa Clarita, California; his grandchildren, Andrew Patten (Shawna), Michelle Patten, Elizabeth Dirkse and Cammie Dirkse; and his siblings, Yvonne Kramer (Joe) of Spring Lake, MaryJo Poel of Holland, Lois Radigan of Colorado and Dr. Ronald Dirkse (Dot) of Holland.
Due to the current severity of the Covid pandemic, there will be a private family service held that will be viewable via the Sytsema website YouTube channel.
