He was predeceased by: his brother Gerald Gardner. He is survived by: his children, Victoria "Vicky" Gardner, Edward J. Gardner, Jr. (Colleen), Michael "Beans" Gardner, Nick Gardner and Chuck Gardner (Lori); his grandchildren, April Potter (Berto), Angela Aleman (Martin), Jarod Wolffis (Cassie), John Gardner, Molly Thompson (Christian), Jacob Gardner and Sam Gardner; and his great grandchildren, Tony, Evelyn, Jonah, Silas and Eliana.
