Della Haakana Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 16, 2018, at the age of 95, Della Haakana (Spring Lake, Michigan), born in Madison, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Carl; her daughter Christine Resh; and her parents, Bert Kay and Anna Kay. She is survived by: her sisters, Avis Kay of San Diego, CA, June Tweit and Herbert Tweit of Glenwood, MN; her daughter Kay VandenElst of Holland, MI; her grandson Matthew VandenElst of Brooklyn, NY; her daughter Jean Haakana of Wayland, MA; her son-in-law Charles Resh; her granddaughter Jaclyn Resh of Sarasota; and also, Bob VandenElst of Holland, MI and Bette Bussel of Wayland, MA. She is also survived by wife, mother and grandmother.
Donations can be made in Della's memory to St. Matthew Lutheran Church or Loveland Center in Venice, FL for their theater program.
