He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Hammond and Vivian Hammond (Alyua); his granddaughter Ashlyn; and his brother Harvey Hammond. He is survived by: his wife Janice Wierenga; his children, Bruce Hammond (Gerale), Sherri Spear (Kent), Bryan Hammond (Vickie), David Hammond (Marci), Jan Rynbrandt (Randy), Craig Hammond (Dionne), Joseph Hammond (Amber), Cecil Hammond (Shelly), Julie Juntunen (Chris) and Kristen VanderHeide (Chad); his siblings, Charlene Swanson, Sam Hammond (Lynne) and Dale Hammond (Judy); and his sister-in-law Beverly Hammond. He is also survived by twenty seven grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren.
