Carol Folkert Obituary

We are sad to announce that on August 30, 2020, at the age of 72, Carol Folkert of Spring Lake, Michigan, born in Grand Haven, Michigan passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Carol Folkert to pay them a last tribute.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Louis Rycenga and Betty Rycenga (Groeneveld); her husband David F. Folkert; her children, Cindy Haverkamp (Brad) of Grand Rapids and Todd Folkert (Abbey) of Spring Lake; her grandchildren, Caroline, Maria Haverkamp, Christian, Lucia and Francesca Folkert; her siblings, Mary Retsema (Ron) of Norton Shores, Sharon Pell (Rod) of Spring Lake, Barbara VanHeukelem (Bruce) of Oak Park, IL and John Rycenga (Marie) of Grand Haven; her sister-in-law Carole Whittemore (John) of Belmont, MA; her friend Ken Post; and her granddaughter Olivia Haverkamp. She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorials in memory of Carol may be given to the Muskegon Museum of Art or Grand Haven Christian School.
