He was predeceased by: his parents, DeForest Franklin and Juanita Franklin (Brookman); and his sons, Andrew and Benjamin Franklin. He is survived by: his wife Jean Franklin; his children, Jennifer Elrod (Kenneth) and Daniel Franklin (Marlowe); his stepmother Esther Franklin; his siblings, Gary Franklin, Caroline and Barry; and his stepsister Linda. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
