Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Allan Plantenga of Spring Lake, Michigan, born in Grand Haven, Michigan, who passed away at the age of 70, on December 25, 2020. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry and Bertha Plantenga, Sr. (Hoekstra); his brother Henry "Hank" Plantenga, Jr.; and his sister-in-law Tracy Riley. He is survived by: his wife Martha Plantenga; his children, Allan Lee Plantenga, Jr. (Kim) and Julie Carlson (Greg); his stepmother Nancy Plantenga; his grandchildren, Nathan Plantenga, Emily Plantenga and Ryan Carlson; and his siblings, Deb Eaton (Maureen), Cindy Hoffman (Tim), LeAnn Glasser (Rick), Richard Plantenga (Cheryl), Bill Riley and Pete Riley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a private funeral with Chaplain Bruce Kalish officiating and military rites accorded by the Charles A. Conklin American Legion Post # 28 Honor Guard. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, please briefly pay your respects, to allow others, to pay their respects.
