She was predeceased by: her parents, George Chittenden and Gladys Chittenden (VieBrock); her husband Boyd Shumake; her siblings, Roy Chittenden, Leon Chittenden (Mary), Dale Chittenden (Pat), Evelyn Harjer, Ruth Merz and Lois Spencer; and her stepson Barry Shumake.
She is survived by: her stepdaughter Deborah Emory (Al); her stepdaughter-in-law Netta Shumake; her grandchildren, William Emory (Theresa), Eric Emory (Tina), Scott Shumake (Krista) and Michelle Herreman; and her friend Diane Nienhouse.
Memorial contribution in memory of Alice may be given to Nortonville Gospel Chapel or Habitat for Humanity.
