He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Griffes and Averill Griffes (Miles); his wife Evelyn Griffes; his daughter Lisa Ann Griffes; and his siblings, Ernest, Cecil, Howard and Nancy.
He is survived by: his children, Douglas Griffes (Lou Ann) of Charlotte, MI, Debbie Coombs (Randy) of Dana Point, CA and Steven Griffes (Staci) of Utica, MI; and his siblings, Russell Griffes, David Griffes, Kenneth Griffes and Mildred Speach. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
