With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jean Maxine Hills of Spring Arbor, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 15, 2024 at the age of 99. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Jean may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Harvey Dawson and Louise Josephine Baker; her husband Carroll Q. Hills; her daughter Jacqueline DeMay; and her granddaughter Ashley Hills.
She is survived by: her children, Ronald (Julie), Richard (Becky), Julie Hartley (Kevin) and Kyle DeMay (Deborah). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Watson Funeral Chapel - Jackson (2590 Spring Arbor Rd, Jackson, MI 49203). A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the East Liberty Cemetery (2210 Jefferson Rd, Clarklake, MI 49234). A burial will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Liberty Cemetery (2210 Jefferson Rd, Clarklake, MI 49234).
