He was predeceased by: his parents, George Oliver and Lena Mae Johnson (Gunn); his wife Donna (Whims); and his sister Phyllis Hayner (Johnson). He is survived by: his children, Doug Johnson (Corliss), Ted Johnson (Mary), Ed Johnson (Janice) and Marcia Murphy (Stephen); his grandchildren, Alana Tubiolo (John), Kelly Gray (Neal), Cortney Knoll (Ryan), Kacey Litz (Greg), Claire Hughes (Troy), Erin Johnson, Dr. Matthew Smith (Kerrin), Christine Cox (Taylor), Amanda Stephanus (Morne) and Edy Cozort (Aaron); his brother Wendell Johnson (Mary); and his sister-in-law Annette Whims. He is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spring Arbor Church of the Nazarene.
