He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Band and Cora Vander Band (Doorn); his former spouse Beverly Smith; his wife Bev; his sons, Robert (Rose), James (Patty) and David (Virginia); his siblings, Joyce Duimstra (Jack) and Ron Vander Band; his sister-in-law Barbara Becker (Gary); his close friends, Bill and Sue Kamp; and his pet Sassy. He was also cherished by 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
