He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Helsel and Grace Helsel (Friske); and his sisters, Elizabeth, Eleanor, Janet and Ruth.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Helsel (Wilson); and his daughters, Joy Hoskins (Mark), Jan Bueche (Charly), Debby Scheiern (Gil), Donna Thorne (Jeff) and Becky Higdon (Donnie). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren.
