Philip Barth Ruiter Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 22, 2024, at the age of 90, Philip Barth Ruiter (Sparta, Michigan), born in Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bartelt Ruiter and Mary Ruiter (Prince); his parents-in-law, Lowell and Ione McKinney; and his wife Jackie Ruiter.

He is survived by: his children, Kristy Yonker (Randy) of Grand Haven, Kathryn Youngquist (Mark) of Kent City and Kimberley King (Mike) of Ada; and his grandchildren, Andrea, Jon Tejchma, Faith, Justin Frueh, Hope, Aaron Cochrane, Joy, Nate Stinson, Jordan, Laura Youngquist, Jessica, John Doyle, Abby and Grant Waggoner. He is also survived by great grandchildren; and many extended family members and faithful friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sparta United Methodist Church (54 E Division St, Sparta, MI 49345). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers they ask that memorial donations be made to Hospice of Holland or Shriners Children's Hospital.
