Matthew Carl Gapczynski Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matthew Carl Gapczynski of Sparta, Michigan, who passed away on November 18, 2024, at the age of 37, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Carl and Arthur Gapczynski; and his godfather Robert Darga. He is survived by: his wife Brogan Nicole Gapczynski (Brege); his rescues, Denny and Lily; his parents, Christine Gapczynski and Brian Gapczynski; his brothers, Adam Gapczynski (Tracy) and Chad Gapczynski; his goddaughter Elyse Gapczynski; his in-laws, Yvonne and Neil Brege; his brothers-in-law, Andrew Brege (Cassady), Richard Brege (Katy) and Michael Brege; his nieces and nephews, Ailish and Padraig Brege; his goddaughter Amelia Engle; and his grandmother Edith Gapczynski. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 7:30 PM at the Arsulowicz Brothers Remembrance Mortuary (3525 Remembrance Rd NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49534). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Spirit Church (2230 Lake Michigan Dr NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504).
