She was predeceased by: her parents, Royce Wilson and Esther Wilson (Bulliss); her husband Richard "Dick" Helsel; and her sister Joyce Youngblood. She is survived by: her children, Joy Hoskins (Mark), Jan Bueche (Charly), Debby Scheiern (Gil), Donna Thorne (Jeff) and Becky Higdon (Donnie); and her close friends, Charlie Brown, Mel Snowden and Dr. Jay Dean. She is also survived by many grandchildren; many great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Maranatha Baptist Church, Meadowlark Retirement Village or Emmanuel Hospice.
