He was predeceased by: his parents, John Smejkal and Marian Smejkal (Mason); and his brother Terry. He is survived by: his significant other Shari Bruinekool-Mead; his daughter Mariah May; his granddaughter Katelyn; and his siblings, Nancy Gipson (John), Tammy Skaggs (Ken) and Kenny Austin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
