He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Bucher and Myra Bucher; his daughter Anna Elizabeth; his siblings, Mary Bucher, Robert Bucher, Donald Bucher and John Bucher; and his parents-in-law, David and Carmen Woodruff.
He is survived by: his wife Kirsten Bucher (Woodruff); his children, Peter James Bucher, Christian Edward Bucher, Alexander Michael Bucher and David Joseph Bucher; his brother Thomas Bucher (MiJa Bucher); and his sisters-in-law, Paula Woodruff-Fortune (Mark), Kathy Bucher, Patti Bucher and Mary Bucher. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended relatives.
