He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilma Thorstein (DeSmit) and Irwin A. Thorstein; and his father-in-law John DeVos. He is survived by: his daughters, Jera Kingsley (Tim Emmons), Julie Kingsley, Jennifer Kingsley, Danielle Carter (Josh) and Courtney Thorstein; his grandchildren, Rob, Ashleigh, Alex, Ella, Elijah, Ethan, Claire and Elena; his siblings, Cindy Lieffers and Rick Thorstein (Margaret); the mother of his children Kim Thorstein; his mother-in-law Jacklyn DeVos; and his close friend Cathe Proctor.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be given in Corky's name to the Red Cross Fire Assistance and the American Heart Association.
