He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Mayo and Bernice Mayo; his wife Joyce Mayo; his children, Jon Mayo (Tracey) and Becky Mayo; his sisters, Dr. Linda Mayo and Donna Mayo (Darrin McSorley); his sisters-in-law, Cherry Bowers and Janice Entsminger; his nephew Chris Bowers; and his brother-in-law Bill Entsminger.
