He was predeceased by: his grandson Jesse Jr.; his son John Philo; and his parents, Louie Nelson and Delcie Nelson (Yager). He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Nelson; his pet Bojangles; and his children, Danny Nelson of Cadillac, Jesse Nelson of Marion, Susan Nelson (Mike) of Maxton, NC, Karen Beekman (Brian) of Rainsville and Scott Yates of Cadillac. He is also survived by his twelve grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
