We are sad to announce that on June 20, 2021, at the age of 78, Carolyn Kay Burgtorf (Sparta, Michigan), born in Grand Haven, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard McNitt and Bernice McNitt; her husband Donald George Burgtorf; her son-in-law Dan Van Heukelom; her granddaughter Sable Ann Farmer; and her siblings-in-law, Gerald A. Porter, Steve Pustai (Stella) and Florine Burgtorf.
She is survived by: her children, Lauri Anne Burgtorf, Michael (Jo Burgtorf), Ronald (Lori Burgtorf), Annette Van Heukelom, Aaron (Debbie Burgtorf) and Eric (Ann Burgtorf); and her siblings, Marjorie Schaefer (Elroy), Gale McNitt (Marilyn), Paulette Porter and Darlene Rayba. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The National Kidney Foundation or Trinity Lutheran Church.
