He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Schnotala and Jean Schnotala; his parents-in-law, Orville "Bud" and Carol Wilson; and his brother-in-law Charles Van Lente.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl; his children, Brandon Schnotala and Megan Niles (Chris); his grandchildren, Hezekiah, Isaac and Eden Niles; his siblings, Linda Van Lente, Randy Schnotala (Irene) and Tim Schnotala (Theresa); and his siblings-in-law, Gloria Johnson and Ken Wilson (Jeanne). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the MKD Stegenga Funeral Chapel (1601 Post Dr NE, Belmont, MI 49306). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday, January 27 from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, from 10-11 a.m. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Michigan (https://www.hom.org), American Cancer Society, or City Church Sparta.
