He was predeceased by: his wife Jill Ann Capek; his sister Mary Charrette; and his siblings-in-law, Pamela Capek, Jeffery Boorsma and Timothy Potes.
He is survived by: his parents, Anne Capek (Murphy) and Richard Sr. Capek; his children, Sarah Chorman (Josh), Jacob Capek and Daniel Capek; his grandchildren, Maci, Brielle, Colton and Easton; and his siblings, Jane Capek, Michael Charrette, Richard Capek (Ann), Carol Capek-Potes, Stephen Capek (Janice), Ellen VanderWel (Dennis), Lorinda Butler, Neil Butler and Michael Butler.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Family Church or to Gilda's Club of Grand Rapids Michigan.
