He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Sekmistrz; and his granddaughter Chelsea Domine (Mike). He is survived by: his children, Dennis Sekmistrz, Charles Sekmistrz and Colleen Swaffar (Keith); his grandchildren, Colette Serpetti (Michael), Nathan Sekmistrz (Caitlyn) and Kenny Swaffar (Susan); his great grandchildren, Carly, Isabelle "Izzie", Cassie, Kazimierz, Kai, Thaddeus and Charlotte "Charlie"; and his sister Irene Bankiewicz.
