He was predeceased by: his brother Vincenzo Vitale (late Marianna); and his parents, Girolomo Vitale and Rosalia Vitale. He is survived by: his wife Caterina; his children, Rosalie Giammalva (Joe), Girolamo "Mimmo" Vitale (Adele), Rosolino Vitale (Tina) and Rosalba Messisco (Brandon); his grandchildren, Maria Rosa, Rosolino, Giuseppe, Salvatore, Alena, Alessio, Mia and Caterina; and his brother Vito Vitale (Anna).
It is a requirement of the family that everyone wear a mask at all times.
