He was predeceased by: his parents, Mariano Pangilinan and Bella Pangilinan. He is survived by: his spouse Florencia; his children, Mylene (Michael), Margarita (Gilbert), Emily and Chiara; and his siblings, Purita, Herminia, Danilo, Daisy, Juanito, Wilfredo, Teresita and Cesar. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
