With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Joseph LaForest of Southgate, Michigan, who passed away on December 30, 2024 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Margaret; his children, Scott LaForest (Juanita), Michelle Motes (Adam) and Elizabeth McDonald (Daniel); his grandchildren, Stephanie, Nicolas, Zoe, John, Zachary, MaKayla, Brady, Luc and Megan; his great grandchild Raven; and his sister Patricia LaForest. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Molnar Funeral Home - Brownstown Chapel (23700 West Rd, Brownstown Charter Twp, MI 48183). A rosary was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. The lying in state was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Woods Catholic Church (21892 Gudith Rd, Woodhaven, MI 48183). A Mass was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
