She was predeceased by: her husband Erven Giertz; her sons, Gary Giertz and Bob Giertz; her grandson Keith Giertz; and her siblings, Shirley Williams and James Cann.

She is survived by: her son Rich Giertz (Sheri); her grandchildren, Kristen Cicotte (Jeff), Brian Giertz (Chesley), Desarie Giertz, Angie Meyer (EJ) and Nikki Plasters (Bill); and her daughters-in-law, Jill Fleek and Sharon Giertz. She is also survived by many great grandchildren.
