He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Carol; his sons, Jeff (Robin) and Eric; his grandchildren, Danielle and David; and his siblings, Dennis Schmith (Lyn) and Marsha McMaster (Dennis). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
