He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Robinson; his children, Cynthia Hicks and Grant Robinson II (Merry); and his siblings, Phil Robinson and Judy Kotreys.

He is survived by: his children, Sharon Kalstein and Ronald Robinson (Anne); and his brother Matt Hanlon (Sharon).

Donations in his honor may be made to the Michigan Humane Society.
