Though Elaine may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Elaine touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Aldege Gatien and Dorothy Gatien; and her siblings, Dianne Barton and Gordon Gatien. She is survived by: her siblings, Lois Gallagher (George), Brian Gatien, Monica Jackson (Dale) and Earl Gatien (Anita); her goddaughter Sally Reichow; and her close friend Gloria Schwartz. She is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews, 15 great nieces and great nephews and 2 great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Molnar Funeral Homes (23700 West Rd, Brownstown Township, MI 48183). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
