He is survived by: his wife Rose Gourlay; his son Douglas Gourlay (Cindy); his nieces and nephews, Margaret Harris (Steven), Gayle Talbot, Julie Pohl (Robert), Mary Cunningham (Andrew) and Janet Harrison (Anthony); and his sister-in-law Barbara Vivoda.
