He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Cholette and Ruth Cholette. He is survived by: his children, Donald Cholette Jr. (Karin) and Victoria Cholette (Ron); his grandchildren, Bradley, Brieanne, Carson and Katelyn; and his siblings, Denise Meadows, Michael Cholette, Larry Cholette (Chris) and Brian Cholette. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
