It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carlin Pitman of Southgate, Michigan, born in Sparta, Tennessee, who passed away on November 16, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. John B. Pitman and Gusta Elizabeth Hitchock Pitman; and his wife Johnie R. Petty Pitman. He is survived by: his children, Danny Pitman (Randa), Colette Amato (Tony) and Sherry Pitman; his grandchildren, Andrea Mijat (Jeff), Nichole Traugh (Andrew), Adam Pitman (Tiffany), Aaron Pitman, Anthony Amato and Jessica Turgeon (Michael); his great grandchildren, Sophie, Seth, Adeline, Alden, Ada and John; and his great great grandchild Kendall A. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
