He was predeceased by: his parents, David Abbu and Warina Seba Abbu; and his siblings, Salman Abbu, Izzat Abbu, Fouad Abbu, Salima Kas Shamoon, Zahia Najor and Fahima Abbu.
He is survived by: his sibling Wadia Mansoor.

A committal service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery (25800 W 10 Mile Rd, Southfield, MI 48033). A vigil service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Memorial Luncheon & Prayer Vigil Farmington Hills Manor (23666 Orchard Lake Rd, Farmington Hills, MI 48336).
