He was predeceased by: his siblings, Gilbor Avshalumov (Yom-Tuv), Efrot Rahamimova (Yavdolim), Haim Khaimov (Tamara), Sebo Avadiev (Gad), Manya Isaakov (Boris) and Cema Shabatayev.
He is survived by: his wife Sonya Cherkasova; his children, Rina Avshalumov (Slava), Lucy Bucan (late Zoran) and Nailya Shumunov (Mais); his sibling-in-law Mariya Shabatayev; his grandchildren, Vadim Avshalumov (Rachel), Ruslan Avshalumov (Amy), Shugmi Shumunov, Michelle Siyonov (Oren), Diana Bucan, Jennifer Bucan and Shoshana Shumunov; and his great grandchildren, Sonia Avshalumov, Nehemiah Avshalumov, Moshe Siyonov and Liam Avshalumov.
A shiva was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025,, and on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 25505 Greenfield Rd, Southfield, MI 48075. A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Hebrew Memorial Chapel (26640 Greenfield Rd, Oak Park, MI 48237).
