Shaza George Zaya Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 27, 2025, at the age of 57, Shaza George Zaya (Southfield, Michigan) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Shaza George departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Shaza George may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Shaza George leaves behind.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her child Ammar Swaida; and her parents, George Sharrak and Nazhat Maroki.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mother of God Chaldean Catholic Church (25585 Berg Rd, Southfield, MI 48030). A burial will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery (25800 W 10 Mile Rd, Southfield, MI 48033).
