She is survived by: her children, Nasrine Shaya, Jenean Chavey (Tom), Nahid Shaou, Nazek "Nadia" Shaya (Salah), Natalie Warah (Sami), Nawal Jarges (Bodean) and Nora Tohme (Roland); her grandchildren, Norman Shaya (Vivian), Jonathan Shaya, Tamara Shaya Hoffmann (Derek Hoffmann), Tiara Shaya, Trinity Shaya and Brandon Warah (Nicole); her great grandchildren, James Shaya, Henry Shaya, Eliana Hoffmann and Stephen Hoffmann; and her siblings, Juliet Rayis (late Afram), Adnan Patros (Evelyn), Adel Patros (Souham) and Widad Jadan (late Talal).
A requiem service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Mother of God Chaldean Catholic Church (25585 Berg Rd, Southfield, MI 48033). A committal service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:15 PM at the Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery (25800 W 10 Mile Rd, Southfield, MI 48033). A reception was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Regency Manor & Banquet Center (25228 W 12 Mile Rd, Southfield, MI 48034).
