He was predeceased by: his siblings, Avrum Tuchendler and David Tuchendler; and his parents, Jehoshua Tuchendler and Chawa Tuchendler. He is survived by: his spouse Dorris Chandler; his children, Evelyn, Debra Chandler (Jona Goldschmidt), Gerald Chandler and Paul Chandler (Nobuko); his grandchildren, Dr. Jason Rosen (Esther), Marcy Rosen (David Eisenberg), Emily Rosen (Erik Groysman), Noa, Logan Chandler (Parkison), Lea Chandler, Alana Chandler and Kayla Chandler; his great grandchildren, Yossi, Ari Rosen, Lev, Joshua Eisenberg and Neva Groysman; and his caregivers, Lucy Wourman, Alma Davis and Herman Paschal.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 at 7:00 PM.

“My Friend Mr. Maury I have been struggling for days to write this. Finally I came to realization that no words, sentences, paragraphs would be sufficient to describe this extraordinary individual. Mr. Maury still lives, each and every day in my heart and in my mind, he just resides in a more heavenly place. I miss my friend, but will continue to pray for Mr. Maury every day. “The entire Chandler family, I was privileged to have known Morrie from Boca West for numerous years. His stories, depth of history and Talmud was inspiring . I always looked forward to seeing him in the men's lounge where he would hold court and all would sit and listen intently to his wisdom.
